"The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru contains 50% whole bunch with one-third new oak, the fruit from the four corners of the climat, low yields in this vintage. The nose is very well defined but tightly packed bouquet, crushed limestone scents filtering through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a silky smooth texture on the entry. Finely poised, elegant yet intense, this is endowed with sorbet-like vitality and energy on the finish. Excellent (VM, 93-95 points)."
