One would be remiss in discussing the great white wines of the world without mentioning the name Lafon. Dominique, the fourth generation of his family's domaine, recently began a separate label that is sourced all from estate fruit but is a négoicant in name only due to the wines being vinified at the Château de Bligny-lès-Beaune. The expert farming team of Comtes Lafon oversees all viticulture for the Dominique Lafon label so meticulous care is of utmost importance with strict adherence to sustainability and biodynamics. This bottling of Meursault comes from 'La Petite Montagne' just above the Premier Cru of 'Gouttes d'Or' and has 2018's generosity of fruit backed with nice tension.
